I know. I've felt it all. It sucks. And it means you are living in SURVIVAL MODE.
True freedom CAN'T happen when you're in survival mode. You can be sure that if you don't spend time lifting yourself out of survival mode, then you'll just keep perpetuating it.
Survival mode is not bad - survival is a good thing. But you're beyond that. You want to thrive. You want to have meaningful experiences, make an impact, and actually ENJOY the work you do.
And you can. Many people do. And you are as worthy as anyone else.
Sure Heather, when I make a million dollars, I'll be out of survival mode.
Ok I hear you, but you don't want to make that kind money when you're so stressed. It'll just be more stress. That's how more money makes more problems.
So let's be honest. You want the money and success AND the freedom that allows you to actually enjoy your success.
So what do you do? Because that bill isn't going anywhere until you pay it.
Emotionally regulate.
It's simple - not easy - but NECESSARY for success and freedom.
When you get the bill, don't pay it until you're calm. Don't pay it until you are in a place where that bill is NOT bigger than you. You have the money, you'll make more, and you'll make a plan on how to pay it.
Please do not waste a weekend worrying about a meeting on Monday that could be about anything. Nobody deserves to have that much power over you. Regulate.
Show your family how to regulate and prioritize. You would NEVER want them to avoid their dreams just so they can work and die. Be the example of how to overcome the stress and live a life you choose.
There are many ways to regulate. But I have created a technique that will truly help you to focus on releasing job stress.
I call it the Upper Limit Clearing for Career Success.
And it's repeatable. Odds are, you'll need it again because discomfort is a sign it's time to grow, to shift out of the tricky situation, and move to a place of more peace.
So give it a listen, and practice emotionally regulating BEFORE you make any moves toward a better career. Not only will you see success faster, but it'll be easier too.
Let me know how much you like it!
