Nope! I provide all the materials, and they are included in the cost. We use acrylic paint (red, yellow, blue, white, and black), 3 paint brushes, a palette, water cups, paper towels, and the best little tabletop easels. 

If you've made a stick figure, you can create. Picasso himself did many stick figures over the course of his career. But even if you don't feel competent enough to make something you'll like, it's really about the therapeutic process anyways. Don't be so hard on yourself! 

All I need is the vibe you'd like to create in the room and some color choices you're interested in. I have a commissions questionnaire you can fill out, and there is a section to add pictures of the room. Plus you can tell me which paintings I've already made that you like. If you live close, I'll just bring it to you! If you live further away, and you'd like a bigger piece, I will paint the canvas on wooden stretcher bars and ship it disassembled so that you can save on shipping. Once it arrives, you can take it to any framing store, and they should put it together for you easily.
